Poker is a card game played between two or more players. The aim of the game is to form a winning poker hand based on the cards you receive and those already revealed in the betting round by other players. In each deal, one player (designated by the rules of the specific variant being played) places a bet. Then, each player must either call that bet by placing chips into the pot in the same amount as the player before them; raise the bet, meaning they place more than the previous player did; or fold, which means they put no chips into the pot and exit the hand.<\/p>\n

There are 169 different starting hands because you receive two cards for a hand and there are 13 card ranks.<\/p>\n
Observe your opponents and watch how they play their hands. A good poker hand is usually made up of three or more cards of the same rank. A full house contains 3 matching cards of the same rank and 2 matching cards of another rank.
